Fell in love with this ship, officers and crew. Would like to try her on a different itinerary
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Once we reached the Celebrity terminal inside the port the process was fast, easy and friendly. The terminal was beautiful. Finding the buses to get to the terminal was very confusing and frustrating and that's the only reason this isn't a 5
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The main dining room environments were excellent and the wait staff we had were even better. Our only complaint was that it seemed the menu variation selections were far more limited than our experiences on other lines
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
This has a beautiful long pool. The solarium was stunning. The downside was the two outdoor hottubs, they are up on deck 15 near the front and were told that since we weren't Retreat guests we had to go towards the back of the ship and take the jogging track to reach them.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The quality of the original main stage productions is simply hard to describe. The musicians on board were some of the best we've heard.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Kevin, our room service took exceptionally good care of us. Our Sommelier, Alexandra was a pure joy and engaged us whenever we crossed paths. The huge difference I noticed is that senior officers are constantly on deck and readily available. It makes a difference.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
What can I say, we simply fell in love with the Apex.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We were booked to a Deluxe Inside Stateroom but bid up to a Porthole Veranda. They are essentially the same room sans the sliding glass door.
The room was wonderful. This
Bed was the most comfortable we've had on a cruise ship, with its thick fluffy matress.
Everything was crowded, dirty and hectic. We had a reasonably interesting 3rd party excursion but getting through the chaos on the ship was unnerving. I wound up with an extremely severe intentional infection that lasted over a week
