We enjoyed the Apex so much that we booked a cruise on her sister ship the Beyond for next summer!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
It took 15 minutes to embark. Very quick and easy!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The four main Dining Restaurants were all wonderful! I especially liked Normandy. The food in Oceanview Cafe was top notch! My husband is already missing having his “eggs his way!”
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We enjoyed the Solarium and trivia in the Grand Plaza.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
We saw most of the shows in the Theater, Caravan in the Club and the musicians/singers in the Grand Plaza. The dancers, performers and singers were all high energy. Very talented cast!
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Everyone was helpful, friendly and kind. Karen our room steward greeted us by name from the first day. Pedro in Cafe Al Bacio greeted us each time he saw us and knew our drink order. All of the staff was always upbeat and smiling and generally seemed happy to have us on board!
Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We had a Sunset Veranda with an actual balcony. Unfortunately it was cool and we did not use the balcony as much as we thought we would. The design and layout of the cabin was top notch! The most storage we have ever had in a cabin!
Ship tip
Try and see as many shows as you can in the Theater! Such a unique experience on a cruise ship!
We flew in early to see as much of Amsterdam as we could. Beautiful city with many shops, cafes and museums! We saw the Red Light District, the Jordan District, Anne Frank House, Edam, Zaanse Schans, canal cruise and Marken.
We had two days here. The first day we did the ABBA museum on our own. The second day we did a ship excursion to old town and the Vasa Museum. A must see!
It poured sideways rain all day in Riga! We had a 4 hour walking tour with Gunta as our guide. She was fascinating! We all had umbrellas or raincoats with hoods and we kept walking! The city was beautiful and we would have enjoyed it more on a sunny day!
