our overall cruise was good! We love Carnival & have only cruised with a couple of other cruise lines a few times. This ship was hot & the air conditioning seemed to not be working very well. we had a fan in our room it did help some. The staff was great & very helpful & friendly. There was so much we wanted to do, but there was too much going on at one time. We really enjoyed the cruise director Marty he was very friendly & family orientated. One of the last cruises we went on the cruise director had a very potty mouth & cursed quite a bit. We had small children with us & it upset us quite a bit. His name was Donkey & he cursed all of time no matter where he was. we had not cruised for a few years do to him & his mouth. That might be okay for adults, but when there are kids there I don't believe there need to be all of that bad language! But Marty has let us see that maybe Carnival has chosen some family orientated cruise directors now. & we will be cruising a lot more now! Thank you

The rock band in the ocean plaza was amazing! Beau interacted with the audience all of the time. He made many of the the crowd feel special & important! The shows were also very good!

Service and Staff

The wait staff were excellent all of the time! Our room steward was not the best. He did not even clean our room every day. our towel animals were not made very well sometimes we were not even sure what they were. When we 1st arrived there was empty glasses out on the balcony & we had to ask him to remove them. He apologized & took them away. We had to find him & ask him several times to please clean our bathroom, empty the trash, & vaccum.
Ship Quality

The layout was good although walking through the casino was terrible, but sometimes we did it so we did not have to wait for an elevator or take the steps again as I have terrible arthritis & have a hard time going up & down stairs. But the ship seemed to be very clean otherwise.
Cabin / Stateroom

I guess we were beneath the galley. why on earth they would put family rooms with kids underneath the galley is beyond me! It was terrible noise all night & all day long! Finally after the 4th day & talking to our steward several times (he said there was nothing he could do next time do pick a room under the galley) I went to guest services & it got a little better. I really did not want to ask the kitchen to stop working on the food or get anyone in trouble, but we really needed at least a couple of nights of rest. 2 days later they compensated us for our spa visits while on the ship. Which I told them that was not necessary at all, but they insisted (which I thought was very nice). So we spent the money on pictures to give it back to carnival. They really went above & beyond to make sure we were felt taken care of! Our room steward was not the best. He did not even clean our room every day in fact we had to find him & ask him several times to please clean our bathroom, empty the trash, & vacuum. our towel animals were not made very well sometimes we were not even sure what they were. When we 1st arrived there was empty glasses out on the balcony. we had to ask him to remove them. He apologized & took them away.
Ship tip
HAVE FUN! & make sure to see the rock band in the ocean plaza they are amazing!
Appreciate your detailed feedback. You learned a hard lesson about picking the location of your cabin. We try to choose one wit cabins above AND below. It isn’t guaranteed to be quiet (some people just are noisy), but less likely to be disruptive. We once chose a cabin below the shops. Early every morning they were working and seemed to drop stuff frequently. Sorry for your inconvenience. Glad you still managed to enjoy your cruise.
