Review summary

If you ever use Carnival, get on a new boat and if you ever have issues just assume they will do nothing to make the trip better but say sorry a lot. Best advice I can give is never ever use Carnival. Worst trip I have ever taken and not sure if I would even take a free trip from Carnival. Save your money or book with another cruise line.

Ji Ji's was literally the only good spot on the boat. The rest were like bad buffet food I mean I have had better meals at Denny's. The food on its best day was marginal at best and food service was a mess like three days it took us 1.5 hours to eat breakfast.

The casino was the only thing that was not terrible and even that was a smokey mess I guess the vent fans were broken or they don't have them. The entertainers were nice but not talented and even the cruise director was annoying, I literally rolled my eyes every time I heard the man speak his weird cheesy lines. Getting on and off the boat for excursions was unorganized to say the least and "faster to the fun" for us meant faster to the complaint box as everything that could go wrong did on this trip. The only saving grace for the "faster to the fun" upcharge for us was getting the hell off this ship first.

Have of them were rude and the other half could not keep up because the whole ship was understaffed so even getting a drink was a chore, and with the drink package they would not even serve us a bottle of water with our requested beverage. They said "come back in 5 minutes" I guess you are only allowed to order one at a time. So that meant come back wait another 15 minutes to get what i could give you now but won't. SO BAD

Ship Quality

Negative five stars. The casino was not vented and a smokey mess, the floor plan was confusing and got people lost daily. Literally everything was torn, dirty and broken, or just plain smelled like a food dumpster in a New York alley. Not the mention the four times I had to come back to my cabin or use a rest room on the ship as the cleaning people were always there at the worst times of the day. They we found out the ship is being dry docked after its next trip to be remodeled so Carnival just plain doesn't care and wanted to rake in the few extra bucks before the remodel. We paid sooooooo much money for this trip, it was like we paid to stay in a Ritz Carlton but actually got to sleep in a roach motel by that rents by the hour.

For the money too small and not enough luxury, and the deck would have been great if chimney smoke was not dropping black ash all over the deck. We never used it again after the first time it got all over our feet, hands, and clothes. However even if we wanted to the chimney was dropping so much ash on it they could not even keep it clean with mops.
