The high proportion of loud/unruly/foul-mouthed/destructive passengers overshadowed some of the good parts. Multiple fights. Kids kicking doors. Blocking stairwells and cussing people who tried to get by. Smoking weed on board. It’s just gotten out of hand.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Smooth & Orderly. Construction on Terminal 6 In Port Canaveral made entry a bit delayed, but overall fine.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
No complaints on food. Tried JiJi’s for dinner and really enjoyed it. Typical fare on Lido and MDR. Line’s were longer and slower than usual for all dining venues.

Entertainment
2 out of 5
Our cruise director Lawrence West was great and Family Feud was a lot of fun, but the entertainment cast was subpar compared to other ships. The Playlist Productions are becoming stale.

Ship Quality
3 out of 5
I didn’t mind the layout of the Vista ship. Not a fan of the plain/ sterile aesthetic choices. Only three stars because cleanliness is severely lacking, not just on this ship, but my past few Carnival sailings I’ve noticed this.
Cabin / Stateroom

Dirty. Dusty light fixtures. Dried toilet paper stuck to walls in bathroom. Sticky drink spilled all over nightstand.
Ship tip
Don’t go during a holiday/when kids are out of school. The layout isn’t friendly for the capacity.
The port area is nice, but the DJ at the bar was obnoxious. $15 for all day zip lining and $5 for waterslides was cool for my nephews. Would probably book an excursion here if we returned.
One of the worst. Queuing in the Liquid Lounge for priority disembarkation. Started disembarking an hour late. Unsurprisingly, they had been letting off non-priority for nearly an hour before allowing Platinum/Diamond begin. Even the crew agreed it’s horrible.
Sorry for the glitches. With all the upcharges, decreased service, and general mayhem that goes on its surprising that we still go. But we can't help it.
I guess the secret about cruising is out. I miss the days when it was referred to as a petrie dish and people refused to cruise. Now, everyone want to get in on the fun and that usually means what was once good will be ruined.
We had a similar Carnival experience it was a 5-day cruise, but during spring break. People drinking to excess as if it were a contest. Made up some of the best entertainment on board. But after a stop in Jamaica and getting back on board, the smell of weed was very strong. If it had been our first Carnival cruise, it would have been our last. But talking to other cruisers on different Carnival cruises and friends that also like to cruise, we don't do less than 7 day cruises and only when kids are school (spring break). I might add we were warned prior to that cruise about the potential. The longer cruises seem to price some of the trouble out, just our experience. I know we could cruise Royal or similar lines but Carnival hasn't done us wrong. We chalk it up to just a bad experience.
