40th Anniversary cruise. We did exactly what we wanted and spent time together.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Embarkation was smooth and efficient. We are Platinum so we were on board by 11:15
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Everyone complains about the food. I am not that picky and by no means a food critic but I thought the food was very good. I definitely wasn’t hungry when I left the ship and the Cucino de Capitallano (sp) was delicious . Joel and his crew in the main dining were amazing.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
There is plenty to do on the Vista. The bikes were fun as were the water slides. I spent most of my time in the Red Frog Pub and brewery and had a great time watching football and meeting other cruising guests.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
TJ and the fun squad were amazing. They went out of their way to make sure everyone was having a good time. The shows in the main lounge were very good and the singers were incredible. I personally wasn’t fond of the violins but other people seemed to enjoy them. The guitar player was pretty good and I never made it to the Havana bar but heard it was good. I also heard the comedians were very good but I never personally went to their shows.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The service and staff are absolutely amazing. Bridgette helped with anything I needed from my wrinkled suit to my room. Other staff are constantly cleaning and serving other guests with a smile on their face and a warm greeting. If anyone ever removes their tips I don’t know where their brain is at.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
I know Vista is due for dry dock and I went in knowing this but it was exceedingly clean and well maintained. There were a few issues which will be fixed in dry dock but nothing that bothered me
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
My cabin was a balcony which is perfect for my wife and I. We like to hang out on the balcony at various times just the two of us to talk and enjoy the ocean breeze. We took in a few sunrise occasions as well.
Ship tip
Meet your fellow cruise guests. We met some amazing people both at dinner and just greeting people as we went from place to place. We made a lot of new friends and it made our anniversary cruise even more special since we didn’t have any family with us.
We did the romantic excursion for 2 on Passion Island. The tour operators were amazing and helped with my wife’s disability and was one of the highlights of our trip.
Tender port and my wife has a hard time walking. Another enjoyable experience talking to other guests and spending extra time getting ready for formal dinner which my wife looked amazing
I was off by 9:30 and home by 1:30. If everyone listens it is smooth and efficient. I even left my bags outside my room to be picked up for me but it was quick
