I have been on over 20 Carnival Cruises, and I was very disappointed that they have changed the bigger dining room to anytime dinning. We had 7 people with us, they put us at a small round table and our elbows were hitting each other when we ate. I will be looking at other options for cruising in the future.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
We was supposed to board at 1030 am but the ship wasn't ready, so we waited for over 30 minutes or more.

Food and Dining
3 out of 5
We do the set early dinning every night. I have been on over 20 cruises with Carnival, and I think a menu update would be nice, like Gluten free, options, and more sugar free options. More healthier options for the ones that want to have a nice cruise but not eat all that fat.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
The pools were very small on this ship, so most of the time you couldn't get in them to swim.
The main pool in the center was full most everyday. The Havana pool was also full most of week and the hot tubs in Havana were cold most days.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
We enjoyed the entertainment when you could find a place to sit. Rooms were small for large crowds.
Children's Programs
My teenagers did not attend these

Ship Quality
3 out of 5
This ship is a little choppy in design and rooms are smaller. My daughter wanted to do Karaoke and you never could find a place to sit. This was very disappointing to our family.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
When we first got to our cabin, our shower overflowed, and drain was clogged. We also paid more to have a Havana room and we had no refrigerator in our room which was very disappointing. Also our door spring at the top was broken so every time we went to close our door it wouldn't close all the way and sometimes, we didn't know it and anyone could have came into our room without a key.
Ship tip
Maybe check out other ships layout, before you come on the ship.
Carnival did a good job, its just people get so anxious to get off they push and are very rude, its a shame, cause everyone is going to the same place.
We’ve been on 14 carnival cruises with our 15 booked for April. To me, the class of ship determines many things about the trip. If we take an itinerary that is port intensive with long port times, the ship is less important as we aren’t on it much. If we take a trip that’s sea day intensive, the ship is important as we will be spending much more time aboard. When I book a fantasy class ship, I expect a more relaxed cruise doing trivia, piano bar etc. when I book dream or vista class I know we will spend time in the cloud 9 area, and do other special things not available on the little ships. If I were to splurge on a Havana room my trip would be centered around spending relaxing days by the pool. If that’s not important- booking those rooms is a waste.
It's amazing how 🤔 some people allow small things stop them from enjoying the time they have with their love ones. All it takes is a little planning and arrive early to the venues you wanted to see. I was on the Mardi Gras full capacity and just planning made it great. I'm on the Vista in 80 days and can't wait, first cruise with my kids and grandchildren.
Thanks for the review. I am not acquainted with scheduled boarding times only scheduled check-in times which based on my observations seemed to be ignored by many, still. While I agree with the small size of many of the venues my biggest disappointment with the Carnival Vista is the show theater. We attended two shows and could not find seats not obstructed by the big posts on the upper level.
