Think twice before using this port and this ship both were very dirty!!!!!

Embarkation

The staff at the Port for Embarkation were extremely rude to people who were lining up to check in! There was NO Place for people with Disabilities to sit and the terminal itself was extremely dirty!!!!!!!

Poor quality food which was mainly premade and at times the cakes in the buffets were still frozen they use a lot of premade Sysco products which are of poor quality!!

Onboard Activities

would not use the pool or hot tubs as they were very dirty and after people used them the water was very cloudy.

Need better singers and musicians seems like it is now hit or miss with Carnival

The Cruise Director and the Fun Squad were some of the best we have seen in a while. We found the dining room staff to be very rude if you told them your food was cold or not very good.

Ship was very dirty and the public bathrooms were disgusting! They need to do deep cleaning of this boat from top to bottom. The casino slot machines had buttons that were filthy and did not work due to drinks being spilled and sticking the bottoms

Who even looks at the bathroom hinges? I do like things to be clean but some of these pics are nit picky. The cruise industry as well as lots of other places have been very understaffed and they always work hard and are so nice. Iā€™m excited to be going in Jan 2024.

We have sailed on the Vista twice. The first time was right after the reopening of cruising and it was not as great as pre covid cruises. However, the second cruise was much improved. The crew worked so hard. Maybe if you give them a second chance it would be better for you too.

Well sounds like you got on the ship with a bad attitude . We sail on Vista out of Galveston at least once a year and have always had a great experience! Your vacation is what YOU make of it . Most of us are just grateful to be cruising again.

Sorry your cruise did not meet your expectations however it comes across as quite overly harsh. The cruise industry (as have many industries globally) have had many challenges as we are all aware that is beyond their control. In addition the cruise industry in my opinion really has been treated unfair as compared to other industries. We are aware of these challenges and cruise with an open mind of what to expect. We are never disappointed because we have an attitude of GRATITUDE. We meet the most wonderful fellow cruisers and the staff on all of these cruise lines we sail are like an extended family as far as we are concerned. We make it a point to try and take the time to say ā€œthank youā€ to as many of these dedicated people as we can. It is with a thankful attitude that whatever cruise we take we have a wonderful time and great memories. There is so much in life to be so thankful for that this comes across as a very unfair review. I hope your future cruises meet your expectations. ā˜€ļø

Thanks for the review. This is basically the status of cruising after Covid. Things are not the same as they were previously.
