It was so great to get back to cruising. Wasn’t sure what to expect with all the COVID protocol , but it wasn’t to far off from being normal. Carnival did a great job with cleaning and monitoring that passengers were adhering to the mask protocol. Thank you Carnival for yet another Great Cruise
Embarkation

I now have a better understanding as to what & how cattle feel like. I will say the line moved fairly quickly. With all the protocols in place , I feel it went fairly seamlessly. My Hats off to Carnival & Port Of Galveston.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

Pande and his staff were great in the Horizons dining room. Unfortunately, the menu was off on several nights leaving us no choice but to eat elsewhere.
Onboard Activities

We went to all the showtime productions , as we enjoy Vegas quality entertainment . We went and seen all 4 comedians at the Punchliner. Our daughter won the “Golden Girls “ Trivia contest. Went to the sky ride , did the water slides and did many of the games. Of course we frequented the Casino , as well. Our son and daughter-in-law went to the IMAX theatre.
Entertainment

The showtime playlist productions were on point. Great variety , great stage presence. The Rock show was spectacular with music performed by a live band.
Service and Staff

Our room Steward Adi was very friendly, personable and was there for our every need. Our ice container was kept full and fresh , room was impeccable.
The boat staff was always cleaning , very friendly and eager to take care of you. In the Horizons main dining room , we had an awesome staff headed by Pande , unfortunately, we only ate there 3 nights due to the menu choices. All in all , very good service.
Ship Quality

Ship’s layout takes a bit of getting used to. I feel like our sweet layout was a bit off. The ship was very clean , continuous maintenance was always going on. The crew do care.
Was kinda of a cluster. They were going by muster stations , if everyone would follow directions, the process would have been more seamless. Can’t fault Carnival for people who don’t listen or can’t follow directions.
We cruised Vista 8/21 and agree everything was pleasurable until debarkation. Totally agree that muster station and priorities seemed to be ignored. Terminal 1 was closed so Terminal 2 was defaulted for debarkation; this created problems as boarding passengers were arriving at the same time we were disembarking in a small pickup/drop off area with little traffic control. Still, it was great to sleep feeling the roll of the ship again!
