We got through the embarkation process so fast we were on the ship in less than 10 minutes

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We did "our time" dining. The Carnival App allowed us to request a table from where ever we were on the ship and it then gave us an approximate waiting time. When our table was ready we proceeded to the main dining room and were seated immediately. Most of our dining experience was good except one night we were seated adjacent to the bussing station and were very uncomfortable. We also miss the days when the tables always had table cloths and the service was more personal. Most of the dining room staff was friendly. The food was delicious. At times the wait was very long.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The comedians in the comedy club were very funny and entertaining. There was always a line to get into the shows and every show was packed, so we planned ahead and arrived early. The stage shows in the main theater were spectacular! They were better than the shows on any of our other cruises. The dancers and singers were very talented and the special effects were awesome. I highly recommend every musical show on this cruise. We also played trivia a few times and listened to musicians at various places on the ship. The adults only Serenity Deck was one of our favorite hang outs when we wanted to relax outdoors. We enjoyed their jacuzzi, bar, and salad bar.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
As I stated above, the stage shows and entertainers were fabulous. We enjoyed every stage show. The music, singing, dancing, and acting were all spot on. The special effects were stunning. Beautiful presentations.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Most of the staff onboard were very welcoming and many of them were always smiling. There was a very friendly lady in the buffet area who was so happy and saying good morning to everyone with a smile. Lawrence was very funny and entertaining helping with trivia and the morning show and playing Mr. Green in the Clue mystery show.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
We noticed that several areas had things that were falling apart or not as clean as they could be. We avoided the casino area due to thick cigarette smoke and poor ventilation.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Our cabin was very comfortable and we loved having the balcony area to enjoy. When we first arrived in our cabin there were some crumbs on the couch and we found a pill on the carpet under the vanity. Other than that, the room was kept very clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Ship tip

The Ocean Plaza, Serenity Deck, and Red Frog Pub are great places to hang out. The BBQ restaurant is open for lunch outside of ocean plaza.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

4 out of 5
We live in TX, so we've been to Galveston numerous times. The ocean water is muddy and the day that we left the weather was rainy and overcast. The beaches that we've been to there are not as clean or as nice as the Caribbean or Fla, Ha, or CA.

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
We have been to Cozumel several times. This time we took a taxi to Chankanaab Park and enjoyed the beautiful beach there. We did some souvenir shopping in port.

Belize City, Belize

5 out of 5
We did a snorkeling excursion and swam with Nurse Sharks and fed Tarpon. We had a nice speed boat ride through the mangroves. On other cruises we've done the Wallace River excursion, zip lining, and cave tubing. We've always enjoyed our time in Belize and enjoyed all of the Carnival excursions that we've been on there.

Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

5 out of 5
There are nice shops and a nice beach right in the port. We didn't know about the beach, but we checked it out and it's very nice. There are restaurants there as well. We did the monkey, bird, and pirate shore excursion to Gumbalimba Park. We enjoyed the bus ride through town and the knowledgable tour guide gave us a lot of information. We enjoyed the wildlife at Gumbalimba Park. The beach there was not clean, so we caught a shuttle back to the ship after our tour.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Although the Port of Galveston was closed due to a boat wreck and salvage operation, we were kept up to date and kept comfortable until we were able to disembark. We followed the directions of the staff, waited on the Lido Deck until we were called, and we were off the ship in no time.
