Food poisoning, over crowded boats, and over crowded ports. I no longer enjoy cruising because of this cruise
Embarkation

It was fine. People everywhere and it took time but that's to be expected
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

My fiance had food poisoning the night before Cozumel and it made the day at port horrible plus the 7 cruise ships at port made it unbearable getting off the boat
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Casino was fun but I really wanted to catch a comedy show and every time I went to one I was turned away because it was over crwded
Entertainment
1 out of 5
Couldn't get into the comedy shows due to over crowding
Children's Programs
We didn't vacation with children
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The staff was the absolute anchor for carnival. If it wasn't for the awesome staff I wouldn't even consider going carnival again
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Very clean and Vista has a nice layout
Cabin / Stateroom

The name says it all. Standard balcony
Ship tip
Money trumps all. If you want nice or above average you need a thick wallet for sure
Having to take the shuttle boats wasn't fun, the water was very rocky that day but they did have several boats running so it actually didn't take as long as I thought it would to get people on and off the boats
Did you happen to eat at the Italian restaurant that night? My daughter and I had claim alfredo and got so sick. Thankfully carnival refunded our snorkeling excursion that we were booked on in Cozumel. Just stayed on ship and relaxed.
We were on the same cruise and had no complaints about quality of food although dining room service was slow. Perhaps her gastric distress was caused by something she ate or drank in Belize, the port call just before Cozumel. Too bad she wasn’t feeling well; we enjoyed the Chakanaab excursion on Cozumel with no crowd problems at all. Getting in and out of Galveston is always slow but that’s because of Texas traffic congestion which cruise lines can not control
I have seen so many reviews on the same sailing and you are the only want to complain about food poisoning. I was also on the sailing the week before yours And did not experience any of your issues. Sure there’s a lot of people especially on a New Year’s cruise. But we were still able to make all the shows and events. It does take a little planning and maybe waiting in line for a few minutes. However it doesn’t ruin my time. Not sure what you mean that money trumps everything? We all spend the same amount of money for the most part to get on the boat. Being that this is your first review I think it was a little harsh maybe this is a fake review I’m not sure. But I’ve sale twice on the vista now and have done 23 cruises and have never had issues like this. Maybe cruising is not the vacation for you. Sorry that you did not have a good trip.
Sorry your trip was rough. I always find you have to plan accordingly to see the shows and make sure your there plenty early and you will get a spot for sure. Hopefully u try again with another shit or line and its better
