Cons: Black, oily soot from exhaust in Tides Pool and on deck area. Sewer smell near Havana Bar on Deck 5.

The ship’s layout is fine and we especially enjoyed the crooks and crannies where there often was no one on deck but us. Check out the Lanai Deck 5 next to the Liquid Lounge. It’s phenomenal!
Cabin / Stateroom

Although the cabin was basically comfortable, it felt smaller than an equivalent cabin on other Carnival ships. The loss of the second closet makes room for hanging clothes minimal. Also, the mattress was rock hard. Carnival needs to up their game on the comfort side.
The lines were too long and moved too slowly but that’s because Immigration and Customs doesn’t process fast enough. There were four federal agents to process approximately 3,800 people.
