We love the Vista! Has great wheelchair access, lots to do and a great staff.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
I was quick and easy. The only snag is getting a photo taken while going up the ramp. It's way too rushed.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The food was good overall. Fahrenheit 55 is our favorite where the food is completely amazing! MDR's food is good but a bit to rich for my taste. We went to the MDR the 1st 4 nights and Lido Deck the rest of the trip, preferring a larger selection of lighter fare.
Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse
5 out of 5
The food here is amazing! We get the Waguyu Steak. You'll eat another steak again, it's so tender and flavorful! The staff was informative & fun, explaining everything & answering our questions. We had a flight of wine paired with the meal which was tasty. The dessert was huge, so be sure to share it with a friend or two. This place is off the charts!
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
This trip on the Vista, we attended the Trivia Contests and listened to the Live Entertainment in the RedFrog Pub & Atrium. It was more relaxing.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Because we were traveling with my parents, we preferred the Live Entertainment. The theatre production was too loud for my parents, so we only attended 1 performance. My dad loved the Electric Violins and we loved John Clapper & Lefty Lucy! John Clapper was great! He spent a lot of time talking to my husband an avid music lover.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Everyone we interacted with was so polite, gracious and helpful! Of particular note were Mary Ann (cleaning), Wade (RedFrog Pub), Shanta? (gift shop).
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
I was amazed at the cleanliness! One day, I saw staff scrubbing the grout in the walkways. Everyone works so hard to make things nice, despite the numbers of people.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Our cabin was always kept clean & neat, and our room steward was friendly & hard working. Although we didn't see him much, we always came back to a neat cabin. It was very wheelchair friendly (for me), and I love the layout for access! The only thing I didn't like was it's proximity to morning staff bringing breakfast & dishes up. We're always up early and this ensured it. It didn't ruin our cruise though.
Ship tip
The Vista is a large ship, broken up into small sections. If there is something you want to see or do, be sure to get there early. The theatres are a little small. There are so many things to see & do, so enjoy yourself if you don't get in.
We always stop to get REAL vanilla here and have a bite of lunch! It's wheelchair accessible, although I've never found a bathroom that works. No truly wheelchair accessible excursions here either. Still enjoy the shopping, food and area.
We wait until called. This time it was seemless. The port staff even took my husband & I to the front, since I'm in a manual wheelchair and he has all the bags.
