Review summary

Vista is a nice ship. Enjoyed the red beer brewed on board and also the latin band in the Havana club area. Room steward was awesome (remembered our names EVERY time he saw us!) Matt - the CD- was funny, energetic and engaging. The steakhouse was very tasty!

Embarkation

Had a suite, so we got priority boarding. Very nice perk! Right on and our room was already ready to go!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The Steak House was great and the food was good. The reason for the 3 stars is the 1-1/2 hr dining time in the MDR. Servers have way too many tables to cover and only refill your drink if you flag them down. Hopefully this gets remedied.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Comedy Club was fun, the shows were mediocre, but the Cruise Director did a great job.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
The waiters were spread too thin to give good service. However Wayan, our room steward, was one of the best we have had. Top notch!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Miss the glass elevators in the atrium. The atrium funnel already has some dead pixels as does the screen over the lido pool. Otherwise the ship was easy to navigate, clean and packed with fun stuff to do!

Cabin / Stateroom

First time in a suite and it was a lot of fun! Loved the extra storage space and the bigger balcony. We usually get a balcony room, so the extra room was nice, since we had a third person travelling with us.

Ship tip

Try the steakhouse! Definitely worth the extra cost! Wonderful food!

Eat dinner at Gaidos (pricey but worth it!)

Montego Bay, Jamaica

Asked for a bus to the straw market at the port. Was reassured the one we boarded went there. 3 hours later, was told it didn't and then they tried to jack the price up from $14 pp to $20.
