I enjoy the culture and the place is always interesting. I try to get several items each time I go. Great place. Cheap place to get things as gifts and cooking.

This is true, but an allergically induced sinus infection along with the flu can lead to pnamomia. Sorry if I miss spoke.

There are only 2-4 places to smoke on a ship. I don’t like smoke at all. If one does not like smoke then do not go around places that have smoke. It’s really not that hard folks. On a side note: completely impossible to catch the flu from anything less that contact contact with mucus membrane contact. Can’t even get it from skin to skin contact. So, while on a cruise ship ALWAYS wash your hands. And never touch your face.

Smoking stinks and causes all kinds of things, but I don’t think I’ve ever caught the flu or pneumonia from it. Aren’t those illnesses caused by germs?

There are many places on the Vista where there's no smoking. My husband smokes and I have never had the flu in 31 years and I don't take the flu shot.

Mason2x you crack me up.As a former 2 pk a day smoker for 32 years I never once contacted pneumonia or the flu

And a side note. If you're going to cruise it's wise to always get a flu shot. As well as keep your tetanus shot updated. Just saying.

She obviously caught the flu from someone then it turned into pneumonia. Definitely didn't get it from cigarette smoke. Unless she licked a smoker who was sick?

The flu and pneumonia are viruses. Cannot be caused by smokers.

You dont get flu from smoke

DerekMire    5 years ago

Exactly then don't cruise and stay home

I didn't realize smoke caused pneumonia and the flu. If your wife was in the hospital for 6 days, then I can only imagine how long all those smokers had to stay in the hospital with flu and pneumonia.
