They keep the cabins spotless however 5 star places can get bed bugs, hopefully it was sand flies or something? I always wonder about some of these reviews? The validity of them but if it was bed bugs hopefully it’s been rectified! Some people love to get peoples dander up 🤨

Yes, they can be anywhere - fancy hotels included, although I haven’t seen that complaint for a cruise ship yet. It’s possible the bugs came from the port you visited. I hope it wasn’t bed bugs from the ship!

Bed bugs don’t come from being dirty, actually people bring them to wear ever, in their purses, backpacks suitcases etc.

Well, I haven’t been here as long as you guys LMG! And you guys are my cruise “google” so I agree with LMG. 😂. Bug spray on new check list. Check!

I have heard of them on a ship and nice resorts... but like others brought up, sand fleas/ sea lice... these happen more often. I have read several people bring this up... but not so much lately. We always bring bug spray just incase we need it at the beach (any beach!). Sometimes, beaches can be infested.

Agree with Allie, and have never seen anyone mention it here. 🤔

I've never heard of bed bugs on a cruise ship, ever.

Unfortunately I've experienced bed bugs at a pretty nice resort before. We didn't notice the evidence they were there until about day 5 of 7. I think it was a pretty bad infestation since they were quite large and so many of them. I'll never forget that experience. I didn't get the bumps until we had been home for a couple of days and my husband never got any. If they were in a cabin they would have to remove the guests, and clean everything in the room including their clothes. It's not a quick fix unfortunately.

Sea lice maybe? I know I got sea lice back in February at Mahogany Bay. (Sea lice is jellyfish larvae, very common with divers and snorkeling. Cortisone cream cleared it up quick)

If you did a beach day it could be bites from the sand bugs. They itch like crazy and leave marks. Did you see the bugs on the mattress? I would have taken pictures to show customer service.

If it was the last day the bedbugs must have come from you or you would have gotten them the first night, or fake news

Was it in your room? Sorry if it was.
