Great ship with wonderful staff. Chris the Flying Scottsman is a Cruise Director you will remember. Wasn't a fan of the crowd that felt entitled to bring boom boxes onboard to play loud in public areas and in my hallway after midnight.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Getting onboard from Miami was quick and painless
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Wide selection of food that is readily available. Options are plenty from Lido deck casual to main dining formal. Staff is excellent. Drinks and drink packages too expensive however. Hard to justify stadium prices drinks for an 8bday cruise.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Plenty to do. Skyride, rope course, and water slides kept my 8,9, and 11 year old busy most at sea days. Sports square filled in the gaps. Pools were a bit crowded and, as a result, slightly murky at times.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Big stage shows were as expected for a trip. Comedians however were a highlight of each evening. Music around ship was OK. Seemed like a limited selection of songs as kept hearing the same Bruno Mars and Michael Jackson songs after 8 days. Favorite musical acts were guests performing karaoke. Was not a fan of Steve at piano bar which historically has been one of my favorite venues on past cruises.
Children's Programs
Even though I have kids, they were not that interested in kid clubs and kid focused events
Service and Staff

Room stewards and dining staff were attentive and fantastic.

Cabin / Stateroom

Great room for family of 5 in the Family Harbor section. 2 showers a definate plus.
I just looked up Chris the flying Scotsman, and he is, of course as you know, on the Vista. We don't cruise on the Vista until 1/3/2019, and his baby is due 2/1/2019. I was hoping we would get him again, but I assume he will be with his wife and baby!
I thought Chris the flying Scotsman was on the Horizon. He was our cruise director on the Dream in April. He has so much energy! I really would have thought they would not have allowed the boom box, especially with it bothering others. Some people just don't care.
