Review summary

The cruise itself was awesome, but when its over, they really expect you to pick it up and leave, in our rush to get out of cabin (by their urging) we forgot something and I contacted to lost and found and have not heard from Carnival yet.

Yes you have to exit the cabins so they can be cleaned for the next group. You can go linger elsewhere but wouldn't you want the cabin cleaned spotless for you? We have to consider that. You pack most things the night before. Essentials with you. It gets easier the more you sail. Happy Cruising.

we got off may 13t hmm and had to be put of our room by 830am but we knew that the night before so no real rush.

Idk if they rush you off the boat. They tell you to go have breakfast. They do rush you out of your room!! Considering how many thousands of people they get off the ship, get all the rooms and common areas cleaned, get several thousand more people on the ship, all the luggage taken care of and all the food and supplies loaded onto the ship, I think they do a damn good job. And they usually do a all with a smile.

The need to get everyone off the ship so that they can get the next ship full of people. That is why they want your bags outside your door the night before. If I were you I would keep calling and e-mailing carnival until you hear back from them. Good luck!
