We had a great time. The food leaves a lot to be desired compared to Royal Caribbean. The smoke cause by the casino is not good, and bathrooms are small. Overall we had a great vacation

I have only cruised Carnival so far with no complaints — except the food I wondered if could be better on another cruise line. I’m trying to talk my husband into cruising RC out of Florida. Wondering if it’s worth it??

@oilymomof3.. we have taken Carnival numerous times. My son is 4 and has been on 5 cruises. He hated RC kids club. On the Norweigan he loved the kids club and he never wanted to leave the club on carnival. I didnt care for the food on royal or Norwegian. I felt carnival had better options nightly in the dining room. Yes Oasis has lots to do for kids but way to many things go on at once and you miss most of it. I prefer Carnival, yes its cheaper and with kids you dont want to spend that much. Each person has their own opinion based on what they prefer.. you may luke the bigger ships with more activities. Other may like the smaller ships which means less people. Try it out only you can decide. Ive tried 3 different so far and even with my bad experiences ill still try different ships to see if i find one i prefer

To oilymomo...you can't go wrong with either. There's good kids programs with both. My kids are adults and never used, but it's just my observation. Although Carnival seems to be much more family and kid friendly. Again, just my observation as the age demographic on Royal tends to be much older.

I have done both. Personally I think carnival for the kids.

We've never noticed a difference in food quality between Royal and Carnival. No complaints with either. All good. All casinos are smokey, doesn't matter what cruise it is. Bathrooms are same sq/ft. Yes they're small, but I don't live in them.

We just came off of Oasis through RC two weeks ago and loved it!! We want to plan another cruise next year with our kids all teens. What’s your opinion on RC vs Carnival? Carnival seems cheaper which is why we are considering it but I think we may have been spoiled by the Oasis being our first cruise. Thoughts?
