The 8 Night Southern Carribbean cruise on Carnival Vista is HIGHLY reccommended! It was so much fun and the kids loved it! I am already planning my next cruise!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Our embarkation process was smooth and easy! It was helpful that we had a flight to Miami because we had airport check-in done when we arrived to the ships port, which made getting on the ship fast.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The Horizons dining room is delicious, as well as Guy's Burgers, Cucina del Capitano, and The Seafood Shack. I didn't prefer the Lido Buffet or Guy's Pig and Anchor Joint because the food was poor quality. I liked the Red Frog Pub and Brewery, as well. Overall, the food was very good and I highly recommend the Strawberry daiquiri's!
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
There were a lot of on-board activities on the Vista! The must-do's are Skyride, mini golf, and The Clubhouse. You have to wait in a long line for the Skyride but it's totally worth-it! The towel-folding class was also fun for all ages! The IMAX theater was huge and a truly amazing experience!
Entertainment
5 out of 5
My favorite entertainment on-board was the Comedy Club and Liquid Lounge Playlist Performances! I recommend going to a show!
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The service on-board was amazing! They all worked so hard and were all friendly! The room stewards knew every guest by name and they always were there to get you more towels or fresh sheets!
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship is huge and very clean, as well as nice! The restrooms were very clean, which I didn't expect.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Our interior cabin was just the right size and the beds were so comfortable! The towel animals are so cute!
Ship tip
My tips for the ship would be to study the layout before you go, go with the flow, and have a fun time!
We didn't do an excrusion in Grand Turk because we wanted to have at least one port where we could explore. The pool at Margaritaville is HUGE! There are also a few stores, as well.
Aruba was very beutiful!!Aruba was supposed to be known for their beaches but the beach we went to was a big dissapointment. The local shops were nice and had just what I was looking for! The churches in Aruba are also beautiful. We went to an Ostrich Farm and saw some pretty cool brids that we heard had the smallest brain!
Curacao was very beautiful but, our excursion was not the best. We went to factories and brewries but, didn't get to see many nice views. Our tour guide took us to a beach that she said was rated #7 on National Geographics Most Beautiful Beaches In The World list but, we didn't get to go very close to it. I would have loved to stay at that beach all day!
We had originally planed a 11:00am flight but a Carnival service person said they reccommmend a flight after 12:00am. We were at the airport by 8:35am, so we could have made the original flight we planned, but we still got off the ship fine! I reccommend eating breakfast at the airport or waiting until you get off the ship because it's easier to get off as soon as you can.
