Review summary

Boat was great, however we were woken up at 4am each night of our cruise (except 1) with the sound of crashing dishes or dumping/dragging silverware. We complained to two people, they came up to investigate, couldn't discover where it was coming from. Called the customer service multiple times, even at 4am when it happened, but since it only happened for a couple minutes each night they couldn't determine the cause either. My wife's mother just passed away and we were trying to enjoy some relaxation time. Instead, we got hardly any sleep, were groggy during the days and basically told that we were "lying" about noises by the service desk. We paid extra for the nicer accomodations and were not offered any sort of comfort or compensation for the mess they would not fess up to. Horrible experience.

yep, always look at the floor plan before you pick your cabin.

Well when you pick your room try and go with rooms that are sandwiched in between floors with only rooms. If not stay away from public areas. Never book by the Casino, Clubs, Atrium.

The Vista has very thin walls, the first two night we were on it we heard a banging sound in all 3 cabins we had booked. I heard what the people in the next cabin was saying. I was woken up a few times by the neighbors in the next cabin yelling and had to call security 3 nights to quiet them down at 2 am.

I've been there! I have heard silverware in the early mornings on some ship or another. Now I just try to get a very high floor. The crew, after all, does have to prep breakfast.

if it only happened for a couple of minutes then why not goto the bathroom and go back to sleep when it stops? yes it's annoying but there are lots of noises on the ship. but you make it sound like a few minutes a night of noise destroyed your whole trip and you got no rest the other 23 hours and 58 minutes of the day. condolences to you and your wife. That does suck. sorry to hear that. hope you did get some enjoyment out of it.
