We've been on 16 cruises. Vista by far has been our least favorite ship for a couple reasons. Very underwhelming atrium, and the liquid lounge epic fail. That said, we still booked it again for next year...Giving it another try. Hopefully Horizon is designed better.

And Guy's burgers are awesome by the way, and so was the rest of the food we ate. We ate at the main dinning room every night, except for the day we stopped in San Juan. The staff was superb all week long and took really good care of us.

I literally just got off the vista a few hours ago, and I did not encounter a single problem. The ship is awesome, different from the other ones, but very roomy, lots of open spaces. In 8 days, the longest line I made anywhere was probably 20 to 25 minutes. The layout is not a big issue, within a few hours you'll know where everything is and how to get there. I strongly suggest to do your homework before your vacation, this way it makes everything easier for you. If you book a cruise on a big ship, you are destined to make a line somewhere, or have to wait for an elevator a little longer. No big deal. Too many people go into a vacation with a mindset of evaluating every little thing. Just enjoy your vacation, which you spend a lot of money on and chill.

We were also disappointed in the Vista, but for different reasons. We found the ship, including our stateroom dirty. Our room had not been vacuumed when we boarded and there was a margarita glass from the last cruiser on our balcony. There are just too many passengers for the staff to accommodate. We had great food, but never ate in the main DR except for night one, when we ordered a steakhouse selection. Chef's Table was amazing. Spa small for the size of the ship. If you are bothered by smoke and are a gambler, you won't like the casino. Then there are the lines. We won't book the ship again.

I agree with you, ajividen267. I have never complained about any ship so far. I was very disappointed with the Vista. Sometimes complaining is good.

it's carnival by name but different in a unique way. Not the typical mold of a carnival cruise ship. better I think. enjoy the refreshing uniqueness. hoping for the same great time when I go on the horizon in 2018.
