Review summary

Overall it was a great experience. Every member enjoyed every day and every part of the trip. The price, schedule, duration was right.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
The staff on ground was not warm enough and was borderline rude. We did not realize in the beginning but when you compare the experience in the ship, it is the difference of day and night.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The options are unlimited out there. We mostly ate at the buffets and the quickserve spots for the convenience and time efficiency however the dining room (Atlantic) was nice. The service at dinning room is bit slow due to the overwhelming amount of people, but the experience is totally different, so plan accordingly.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Pools are tiny. Hot tubs gets crowded. Gym was amazing with sauna and steam. The adult only area was very nice. I highly recommend adults to make use of it even if they are travelling with younger family members. The movie under the stars was great for everyone in the family. We also enjoyed few trips to the arcade and other activities. Clearly there is never a enough time to check everything out, so stick to your most liking and make the best of it.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The stage shows, comedy shows and live singing were great. The DJ and other entertainers were wonderful as well.

Children's Programs

Even we had planned to drop our kids to some of their age group activities they had refused to go anywhere else and selected to either be around us or enjoy the general activities.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The best part of the whole cruise was their people. It is very diverse team but trained to make you feel taken care of. They were very kind, courteous and when needed extremely funny.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I couldn't find anything wrong in over all layout of the room, ship layout, elevator locations, essential services etc. Only complain I can make is that the pool sizes were disappointing but there were three pools and many other wet and dry activities to compensate for.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We could not have chosen any better cabin. My kids and spouse being sea-sensitive, this deck not too high or too low was perfect. We did not experienced the sea as much and it may have to do with the sea being calm. It was close to the elevators but not too close. Room size, storage, beds, balcony all parts were very efficient. I ended up working on computer for few hours on few days so I can say it accommodated all of our needs well. Only complaint I can make is that the door had a ventilation grill which let the noise from outside in and it got little annoying during night from the hallway traffic and open singing, music elsewhere.

Ship tip

Board early and disembark late. Use their app on the phone. I had bought the premium internet plan, it was very useful for my work, otherwise there is no need of it. We survived without the drink package.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

We did not do any excursion from the cruise company, but after the cruise we went on Everglades National Park and it was great.

Key West, Florida

Loved it. It was bit short but we walked everywhere. If I had to do it again then I would rent the golf cart or motorized scooters.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Was originally planned to rent the car to get around but when there I found out that they needed car back by 6 PM and our on ground schedule was from 1:30 to 10:30 so we ended up taking cabs everywhere and it worked out fine. We bought the Dolphin Discovery in Chakanaab park on our own and it was great. There was plenty to do, food & drinks were included. There was lot more things to do then what time we had on hand. Later we also went to downtown and walked around the tourist area and non-tourist area. The Cozumel Flea market is the best place to purchase souvenirs.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We did the normal checkout where we picked up luggage tags and left them outside of the state room and they handled the rest. We managed to catch nice full breakfast, strolled around the top deck, took lots of pictures and took our sweet time before we decided to Disembark. This way we skipped the crowd and found the empty elevators quickly. When off the ship, we found our luggage waiting for us.
