Review summary

On other cruise lines you are not charged for sodas and even in the casino you are charged. There wasn't as much entertainment as other cruises. The rooms were only checked once a day and you had to request towels. The crew was not very friendly. I don't think I will do another carnival cruise.

I just got off The Magic June 11. Our room was checked & cleaned twice a day. We didn't ask for it, they just did it. Love Carnival!..

We just got off of the Carnival Dream yesterday and can attest to the once a day cleaning now but we never had to request towels. We always had plenty put in the bathroom. Our room was always taken good care of. Beach towels were always available on the Lido deck with no problem as well.

If you are going to complain so much about everything leave Carnival and cruising all together.....

I have been on RCCL and the entertainment there is horrible....

Except Disney all cruise lines charge for soda, but Disney has already charged for the soda in their cruise price they are so expensive.....

On the Victory,  you fill out a card for how often you want cabin service,  morning or turn down service.   We chose both so that our ice bucket was filled twice a day.  Since we pre-ordered a case of water our steward got us a big bucket to ice the water bottles.

None of the major cruise lines give free soda or free drinks in the Casino.

The Victory is an older ship with less options then the new mega ships but she is also less expensive then the new mega ships.  A little research goes a long way.

I believe all lines charge for sodas.

I have been on several Carnival ships and have always had both morning service and evening turn down service and if the cabin did not have a refrigerator, the stewards kept ice in our cooler full of canned drinks that they allow you to bring on.

Please share with us what other cruise line you sailed where the soda was FREE!!!! I have been on 12 cruises and have always had to pay for it either when ordered or with a beverage package!!

I think Disney is the only line that doesn't charge for sodas.

carnival let's you bring on one 12 pack of soda cans per person. bring a cup, ask for ice and than you don't have to worry about paying for soda ..... and as far as casino it depends on your players club status, certain members even get free alcohol while playing
