Review summary
We arrived at the port on our own as we live in Florida. This was our first time at the port and we were given no direction as to where to check our bags, instead we were herded through security with all our luggage and then had to wait over an hour to check in, with all our luggage. There is no excuse for the extremely slow check in process. Upon arrival to our cabin, we noticed it was very dusty, the tv stand had about an inch of dust on and mold was growing in the shower grout. The decor was very outdated and the door underneath the tv was broken and fell off it's hinges when opened. We then we told we had to go to our muster station for a mandatory safety briefing, which I understand, but we literally just got onboard and wanted a drink or something to eat after already standing inline for two hours. That took some time to get all the guests onboard to where they need to be. The service was great the entire cruise. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful, especially in the dining room. Everyone knew your name and really went out of their way to make sure we were having a good time. The food was mediocre. I understand it's frozen and reheated to be able to serve 3000 people on a boat, I guess i was expecting something better. The lines for everything were so long and the ship was crowded. You couldn't get into a pool if you wanted to. My daughter and I did really enjoy the nightly movies on the huge screen on the pool deck at night. Overall, the service was superb, but the ship was too crowded and it was dirty. This ship needs to be detail cleaned and updated, and I think Carnival needs to stop packing these ships to the gills
