It was nice to cruise out of NY and see the statue of Liberty from the water. The decor and layout of the ship was different but I liked it. The food was pretty good. When you are cooking for 4000 for 11 days it got a little repetitive, understandingly. Was very disappointed with the condition of my room but continued to tip as I know the cabin stewards work very hard. Overall, there was enough to do to make it a fun time.

Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The MDR was very good and the steakhouse excellent. The buffet was good but the desserts were lacking. Deli sandwiches were real good and loved Guys hamburgers.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
I did enjoy keep busy with the various activities. Played a little Bingo and Casino. Groove for St. Jude, Massage, Bars, Football in the Heroes Bar. Also, activities preplanned by a FB group. Would have sat around the pool more but couldn't find a chair.
Entertainment

The stage shows were very good. Great voices.
The sunny violins were outstanding.
Service and Staff

All were very pleasant and took good care.
Ship Quality

I liked the layout of the ship. The common areas were being cleaned constantly so you can't fault the crew if a few things get missed.
Cabin / Stateroom
2 out of 5
When I entered my room, I immediately knew I would be wiping everything down. Everything was dusty like it went unused the previous cruise. I found cereal bits on the floor along with 2 pills. One pill was big and orange so should not have been missed. On the shelf was a handful of sunflower seeds. I cleaned for a bit and decided I should be out for the sail away party so called the desk and had the housekeeping manager to come so I could show her. She agreed and took a picture and said her crew works very hard.(They really do) She asked if they could do a redo so I left the cabin. It wasen't much better. Still looked like a kid sneezed on the picture window with his mouth full. Rugs were not vacuumed as the floor had black fuzz like from mens socks .I was glad I brought slippers from the hotel because it stayed the way the whole time. They could have been stains. When unpacking I found a BIG pink bra in the drawer.
Ship tip
STOP the pool chair hogs. I was cruising solo and couldn't find one.
