Review summary

We were married 51 years while on this cruise and it was not celebrated in the dining room. How sad.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food was not as good this year as last year when we sailed on the same ship.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Was not very impressed with the entertainment this cruise. No really good bands you could dance too.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Service was good, however, we have had better.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
We were in cabin 6211 which is right at the front of the ship. My husband had knee surgery 8 months ago and thus made it difficult because we had to walk so much. We are platinum with Carnival and as much as we have cruises with them you would have thought they could have assigned us a room toward the middle of the ship.

Being platinum has nothing to do with getting a guaranteed room closer or further away. We've been on 22 cruises with Carnival and have never booked a guaranteed cabin because of the stories We've heard. We like to pick our room. That way, we know what's above and below us and what part of the ship we want to be on

Sorry about the walking... here's a piece of advise... choose your own room. Being platinum is going to get you a room where you want it unless you choose it.

Sorry you had to walk so far to your cabin. Some advice for you is to pick the location of your cabin yourself. Don’t assume a cruise line would know when your husband has a surgery. When you choose to let the cruise line assign the location of your cabin, you can’t complain that you would have chosen somewhere different.

Gotta go back for your 60th

Did you ask them to celebrate? 50 years is usually a milestone not 51

Happy Anniversary..... None of this sounds like Carnival's fault.... I just got off this ship while i agree 100% about the entertainment being poor i thought finally Carnival's food was really good.... Better quality and portion sizes but could have had a few better menu items per night.

Sounds like you need to take responsibility for your own vacations and become more proactive.

Happy belated anniversary. Was Carnival informed of any mobility issues and/or anniversary?

If you issues with cabin location book the cabin yourself

Sorry your anniversary was not celebrated however did you or your travel agent inform Carnival of this special occasion? Did you inform anyone in the MDR? Same applies for your cabin not being centrally located. Carnival has no idea that you have walking issues.
