Review summary

It was a great cruise. Venezia is a beautiful ship and carnival cruisers are always the friendliest. We made so many friends. Do not expect great service, the staff was heavily overwhelmed with the nearly 5000 passengers, and the food is subpar. But the ship is great!

Easy and quick. We had Faster to the Fun. Had to talk to staff to skip the final lines after the metal detectors.

Great variety. MDR was absolutely terrible, only reason why food isn’t getting five stars. Service was slow and disjointed, food was low quality.

Steward was fine, MDR staff was very slow (because they were so busy most likely). Most of the staff seemed very busy and overwhelmed. I didn’t have one interaction worth noting here.

Beautiful, newer ship. Spacious rooms. Updated public areas.

Cabin / Stateroom

Cove balcony; great views and very clean. Some bad stains on the carpet but nothing else to note.

Ship tip

Try to avoid the busiest times to eat, if you eat off the regular cycle (lunch at 2pm for example as opposed to noon) you never have to fight the lines! Get to the shows early as they WILL fill.

We did Fricolandia. Long, long bus ride (160 minutes round trip) and only got to spend three hours at the beach. They brought us to some hole in the wall shop after with a bunch of trinkets that were overpriced. Wouldn’t go again!
