Review summary

We had a great experience on this cruise!!! The ship was clean and there was always something fun to do. The food was great, there was always something open, we tried almost everything and there wasn't one meal we didn't like. The staff was very friendly, especially our room steward, the bartenders, and the cruise director MarQ. The comedy shows and performances were all entertaining and even though there was usually a line to get in, we would show up after doors opened and always found a spot. Embarkation, disembarkation, and the ports were all organized and efficient. We did notice it was slightly smaller than other Carnvial ships we've been on but it really didn't make a difference for us. We always found seating outside and there was constant entertainment which was great. We didn't have anything to complain about and it was our favorite cruise yet!!

Embarkation

Very easy to get on the ship! Customs was efficient and everyone was pleasant and helpful. We got on very quickly, luggage arrived on time, food was open, and the ship sailed on schedule.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
All of the food was fantastic! There was something open to eat at all times, everything was consistent and food temperatures were good. Staff was very friendly and none of the lines were too long. Dining room staff was friendly and efficient.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The pools were a little small but nothing was ever over-crowded and everything was clean. The waterslides were great! Fitness center was nice and clean, arcade was clean, and the board game area was great.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The cruise director, MarQ, was the best part of the trip!! He made every activity entertaining and we loved seeing him around the ship. The comedy shows and performers were all great! The DJ's around the ship were entertaining and there was almost always music on the decks. We were never bored!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward, E Daniel, was the best!! He was so friendly, always left the room clean, and even left a nice note for my birthday. He also brought us warm towels after we got stuck in the rain at one of the ports and made sure we had pool towels. Some waiters were definitely more pleasant than others but they were all polite. The bartenders were great, especially Keenan, Judy, Dragos, and Vera!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was definitely a little smaller than other carnival ships, especially in the hallways and bathrooms (stateroom and public), but it really wasn't an issue. There was almost always room in the comedy and performance shows. Everything was very clean including the lido deck and staff was constantly cleaning, clearing tables, and mopping up water.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our cabin was a little on the smaller side compared to other cruises, especially the bathroom/shower, but we really didn't mind and were hardly in the room anyway. We had plenty of closet/storage space and outlets for chargers. The mirrors were large and had lighting which was great for getting ready! The bed was very comfortable and the room was always very clean. The balcony was great and we were definitely happy we got a balcony room!

Ports of call

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

Grand Turk Island

We did the Home Way From Home excursion which was great!! We did this excursion 5 years before and it was just as good the second time - the bartender Crusher is the best!

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

5 out of 5
We did the Iberostar all-inclusive excursion which was nice! It was a little expensive and we weren't really there long enough to make the all-inclusive food and drinks worth the money, but the bars, food, staff, pool, and beach were very nice.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We were a little delayed getting off the ship but MarQ was very informative and the staff was very helpful and efficient.

Thanks for the great review. I’ve been on the Panorama which is the same class of ship so the cabin sizes etc shouldn’t be an issue for me.
