You guys know (or can anticipate) what the weather conditions will be like during the colder months of the year. Why are the cruiselines so money hungry that they will keep sailing during these bad times? I had a horrible experience with a 33 year old cognitively delayed person who didn't understand the situation with the rough ride, nor did she understand why she couldn't keep her food down, nor does she ever want to go on another cruise in her life! I am so disappointed with CARNIVAL.
Embarkation
1 out of 5
Process was too crowded & long. Not enough seats for all those people. Nothing to do for hours. Very uncomfortable.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Dining roms are clean. A lot of food, however staff not so good. They only came around to help if you seeked them out.
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
No activities for anyone with cognitive disabilities. Not Carnivals fault, though. Nobody ever includes the cognitively delayed in anything!
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Entertainment onboard was excellent! Especially the cruise director Marq. He was most entertaining with his fun personality.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
Some staff, like the room stewards, were especially nice & thoughtful. The waitstaff in the eateries though, have much to he desired.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
Layout & design, pretty good. No complaints. However, since my cabin wasn't so clean, I know the rest of the ship most likely was in the same condition.
Cabin / Stateroom
1 out of 5
The small space yall squeezed us 3 into was deplorable. Nothing was clean. There was hair everywhere (in the drawers, on the floor, and in the shower). The refrigerator was not cleaned prior to our arrival. It had nasty residue in it from the last guests. I just hope our nice steward (Angus) was not responsible for this.
I agree with you, but they dont force anyone to go on those date...usually people that want to go are trying to find when are the lowest cost...and the lowest cost should trigger something... N'est ce pas?
I'm sure hoping the dirty cabin comments are worked out if they are true. I can't imagine spending what we are going to spend next fall to sail this ship with rooms flights and cruise fees and anyone expect me to stay in a dirty cabin.
Cool it Jim. She/he may be a caregiver and often people sail this time of year hoping for the best. I am sure he/she has learned their lesson. And of course it's not "the greedy cruiselines fault". Some people cruise solely for the casinos, shows and to just get away from it all
So you take a cognitively delayed person on a cruise without doing your due diligence on researching the effects of potentially bad weather during the fringes of hurricane season and have the arrogance to complain about bad weather? Shame on you. Don't. Cruise. Ever.
