Carnival - please re evaluate. The cruise director made the experience as good as he could. The Captain and his staff did GREAT work keeping us safe. The ship is very pretty and COULD be great, but this ship is better served as short duration and maybe even a new adults only class or mature class. The attempt to cram all carnival onto this ship was poorly executed.

Manhatten port authority has a very confusing and frustrating system. I've traveled out of Orlando, Tampa, and Gavelston and this was absolutely a mess.

activities were fine. What bumped this score up is the cruise director, MarQ. He was the best director I have ever seen!

DJ Sean was great for Caribbean sounds, violin show was good but too often. The dances and musicals felt very High School.

Overall staff seemed sad and exhausted. My waiters and room stewards were ALWAYS friendly and fun but Staff overall were interesting. Most didn't speak or smile, like they were dead inside. The guest services person that I had the very unfortunate opportunity to speak to, to ask for an envelope for tipping, was incredibly rude and dismissive. I have never had such poor treatment on a cruise.

Beautiful ship. NOT being used right ny carnival. Definitely NOT an 8 day ship, but would be perfect for 3-4 days. Also, when carnival chose to purchase this ship, they should have reviewed how to use the space. It was very poorly done.

My advice would be, don't do it. If Carnival ever moves Venezia to a short duration cruise I would recommend, but never for more than 4 days.
