What a shock. Carnival has consistently marketed these costa ships as a totally different experience and it sounds like they delivered. Different livery, different decor, different venues…all things they have promised since the start. Not sure why this reviewer felt blindsided that it’s not like the traditional funships but I guess that’s between them and Carnival. Personally, I find the review reassuring. I was hoping for something a little different when I am on Venezia in September. Looking forward to enjoying the differences this reviewer lamented about and more!

Carnival is not the only line to take away public space. Most older ships after refurbishment lose lounges and other space for specialty restaurants and other additions to bring them to the level of newer ships.
