Review summary

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We are newbies, so we were a bit stressed before we got to the pier. We were greeted by friendly porters who got our bags to our room safely. There was some technical problems when we were waiting to board but they got them figured out and the crowed cheered when they did. We waited about 40 minutes due to that but after that it was "smooth sailing"

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
My husband took advantage of every food opportunity possible....like seriously every one...multiple times a day... To the point he was eating two meals at once! The buffet could have been better, but not by much honestly. I was really skeptical before because of the reviews on here but it seriously could have been worse. I have Celiac and did not get sick from ANY of the gluten free options they had on the buffet. Guys burgers special made gluten free burgers and fries for me and again, did not get sick! The main dining room was fantastic and if you do have allergies make sure to do a special order the night before so you can indulge in gluten free ANYTHING!!! Very impressed by that but wish there would have been more night time options on the buffet/room service other than salad and cheese.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We didn't use the pools much but we did score a spot in the serenity hot tubs one morning. They were pretty crowded. We did enjoy mini golf. We didn't visit the fitness center but the walking path was something we frequented often. The casino stole our money but that's just luck, haha.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The comedy club was awesome. Diego was super when organizing and really funny too. Make sure to scream and shout when he mentions he comes from Mexico City, Mexico. DJs were fantastic, violinists were awesome, and the dancing in the main dining room was so fun!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Romy, Dany, & Manny were AWESOME!! I know Dany and Romy were ending their 7 month long contracts and heading home to their families but if you run into Manuel (Manny) from India he is so kind and funny too. EDI was our room steward and was very accommodating and our room was always very clean.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The Piazza is gorgeous!!!! The ship has so many unique bars/lounges that make it convenient to grab a seat just about anywhere. The staff was always cleaning and wiping down handles/rails to keep germs to a minimum.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Nice tub, shower, two sinks and a vanity to sit and put on makeup/do hair. Bed was kind of hard but not too uncomfortable to miss sleep.

Ship tip

Don't buy the Invicta watches.... We paid $289 for a watch "75% off" and were curious when we got off the ship how much it would be on land. The tag on the ship showed 5 grand!!!! Listed at $300 on their site and down to about $180 on sale. Disappointed in that. We did buy a ring from Effy that we got a good deal on but not as good of a deal as they told us (to be expected as they're salesmen). Be prepared for a lot of the male employees assuming your husband is paying for everything... Wasn't much of a fan of that and even if he was paying for everything I don't think I'd care for that either. As a woman who "brings home the bacon" that was just distasteful and happened more than a few times or I wouldn't even mention it. If you're on your honeymoon....also be prepared to have several comments made about making the ship rock. While a laughable statement, it is a little uncomfortable when made in a room full of people. Most of all, be prepared to have fun!!!!!

Disembarkation

Our experience was very organized. We had an early flight out so we were able to get off the ship earlier than expected. We were able to grab a bite to eat before getting a Lyft within minutes outside of the pier.

Glad you had fun. Glad your husband was able to eat to his content. I didn’t understand about the male employees and your husband paying.
