On sea days there was not a lot to do and we had many sea days. Our main complaint is that we both came home not feeling well and took the covid test and were both positive. Is this because of the lack of washing and hand sanitizing stations? We believe it is.
Embarkation
1 out of 5
One of the worst and unorganized embarkations we have experienced.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
MDR food was mediocre, and not up to our expectations, Did not do any specialty restaurants. The buffet was lacking in quality and variety of food choices.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
trivia and creativity at sea were fun.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
enjoyed the comedians but stage shows were so so.
Children's Programs
had no children on the ship.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
room attendant Edi, was excellent, and a credit to Carnival. Waiters in the MDR were okay, at times had to ask more than once for something, they just seemed to not really care.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
Rest rooms were not always clean and were very hard to find. There were very few hand sanitizing stations and they were not always full. There was no hand washing station in the buffet area. There were lots of places on deck to sit and relax but not all chairs had cushions on them.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
this was the first time staying in an inside cabin and it did have ample room for two. The bed and pillows were hard but our room steward gave us bed toppers which did help. A bit more drawer space would be nice.
Ship tip
Bring plenty of hand sanitizer and find out where rest rooms are in advance.
Had lunch but it was 3 miles to downtown so we went back to the ship because we were told it was too far to walk and didn't feel comfortable with a cab.
Sorry you got sick. Yes Carnival is pretty much lacking in personal hygiene at the buffet area. You need to take it upon yourself to sanitize before eating. Assume everything you touch in the buffet could make you sick. After you return to your table, sanitation before eating.
