This was the first cruise my 31-year-old son has been on. My eleventh!! I think he's hooked. We had a great time eating, drinking, Karaoke Ing, playing all the sports games, doing trivia and even participated in the Cruise Crawl and we won!!! Looking forward to the next family vacation!!!

Embarkation was great. Got there a little early from our 11am appointment time. Was able to walk right up and got registered quickly. Boarded the ship by 11:35. Very smooth process.

The buffets were ok. Nothing great. The main dining rooms were better, but still just ok. The specialty restaurants and the Chef's table were amazing. It's definitely worth the added money for some great dining experiences. We ate at the steakhouse, Il Viaggio, Bonsai Sushi and did The Chef's Table.
Onboard Activities

We did alot of the activities ranging from trivia to cornhole to Karaoke. Too many to list. There is something for everyone. Just make sure you're looking at the fun times whether on the app or hard copy.

Stage shows were ok. Dj's were Really good. DJ Cue lit up the ship!!!

Ship staff were all very friendly. Maura our ship steward did a great job!!! Made my son a towel animal every day. This was his first cruise and looked forward to it.

The ship layout is definitely different than most of the other carnival ships. Alot more nooks and crannies. After a few days we were able to navigate just fine.
Cabin / Stateroom

First time I have every been in an inside cabin. Got a promotional deal through the casino. I usually get a balcony room. For this cruise with my son, I actually didn't mind it. It was great for sleeping!!! The room was cozy and just enough room for the two of us.
First time we did this as a port of call. Usually we go out of Miami for our cruise. Took a Uber ofver to South Beach and walked around, had a drink at the Clevelander and walked all of South Beach. Nice day all in all!!
We did a snorkeling excursion. Had a great time and were even able to see some sea turtles. Then we walked around the straw market and went to Senior Frogs. Nice day!!
Love Half Moon Cay. (except for the fact you have to pay for beverages even with the CHEERS package) Wish Carnival would get with the times like NCL and RCL in regard to private islands and drink packages. The beach is SOOOO cool. Had a great beach day!!!
We where on that same cruise we have been on several carnival cruises but had been cruising on other cruise lines but this cruise brought us back to carnival joey the cruise director was the best I have ever seen and the music group was awsome we went to see them every night
