Review summary

Met and for the most part exceeded expectations. Negs were Some small spaces, very small Casino w no bar. Terrible Escargot served in a Brulee bowl. Come on man. Everything else was 5 stars but I love Escargot and the Casino and drinking while Gambling. So this mattered

Food was Outstanding. I always give the positive and negative. Positive MDR had great choices. Neg, Escargot was horrible. I have had lots of Escargot. This was not good. First night had a Chicken and Sausage dish in MDR. It was perhaps the best food I ever ate in 35 Cruises. Guys Pizza Burger is Memorable!! Finally Bacon is an endangered species.

Shi design is SMALL Venues. It is what it is. Casino is Tiny and no Bar and Impossible to get drinks in an expeditious manner

We just did this ship also. "Very smokey" casino is an understatement. The majority of the ship reeked of the smoke. I also agree about the bacon. I never saw any this trip.

Great review. Thank you for sharing the reason behind your critique. You like what you like so if the escargot wasn’t good, its a big deal. I agree the new menu deserts are pretty lacking. A few tweaks and Carnival food could be really great.

Excellent review. Just to point out though HMC is a privately leased island the rental is in the name of Holland American Line, a sister company to Carnival.
