Review summary

The cruise was not what we signed up for because of Hurricane Lee but that is the chance you take when you cruise in September. Seas were rough and there was a lot of rocking. A few people were severely injured after losin their balance on the stairs. Elevator were interesting. I read the directions and figured them out pretty quickly but there were many frustrated people who never did catch on to how they worked. The first and last days were a huge issues as far as the elevators go. Overall I enjoyed my cruise. I was entertained and in good company. What more can you ask for?

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was quick & easy. We waited in a few short lines but were onboard within 45 minutes of arriving at the port.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Main dining room and buffet food was hit or miss. Most of it was delicious but there were a few times when it fell shorty. That being said, I never starved. We didn't eat in any specialty restaurants. Guys Burgers and the pizza were excellent.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We played a lot of trivia. Tried out for (but didn't make the final) Family Fued. We didn't go in the pool (too crowded.) All in all, there were alot of activities that kept us busy.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The stage productions were excellent. Musicians playing around the ship were also very good. We really weren't around any of the activities where the DJ's were involved. Overall, I'd say that the entertainment was top notch.

Children's Programs

We didn't travel with children.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Overall staff was hard working and very personable. Anything you asked for, they were more than willing to accomadate.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship was a little hard to navigate. That's about the only negative I could say. There were lots of hidden places to sit quietly and read or just watch the ocean which was nice. As far as cleanliness, public bathrooms were not always the cleanest but maybe I was just catching them before they were cleaned. Our stateroom rug obviously hadn't been vacuumed when we arrived but when we pointed this out to the cabin stewart, he took care of it right away.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
There were 3 of us in the cabin so it was a little cramped but we made it work. We were surprised to find 2 bathrooms in the cabin. While this was nice, I think they could have consolidated them into one tub/shower and made more room in the cabin itself.

Ship tip

If you are not into the party atmosphere, take a walk around and find the quiet place where you can just sit and relax. There are plenty of them on this ship.

Ports of call

New York, New York

5 out of 5
We didn't do an excursion in NY. Just got on and off the ship was a little congested (as far as the traffic goes) but what do you expect in a big city when 4000 people are trying to move at the same time?

San Juan, Puerto Rico Did not visit port

Due to Hurricane, itinerary was changed and we visited Princess Cay, Nassau and Freeport. Princess Cay was nice. Nassau and Freeport while much improved since my last visit were just ok.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas Did not visit port

Grand Turk Island Did not visit port

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We were off the ship pretty quickly, found our luggage and caught our ride home within a hour hour. No complaints here.
