My room was under the buffet dining room(cleaning) and next door to a family that stayed up all night. There were some nights we could not sleep because of the noise 11pm-3am..

Be careful you it take an extention cord. On our last cruise mine was taken, I received a letter from Carnival stating it was not allowed - however my husbands made it through.

If you stay at a hotel the day before the cruise - don't always assume that the free suttle is your best option. A taxi might cost you a little, but you can go on your own time without being shoved in a van with 15 other people and their luggage.

San Juan is not only a great port to visit, but also a great port to depart from.

On my last cruise, I printed out the baggage tags and laminated them. I use plastic tie wraps to attach them to the baggage. It was a great idea because all my baggage was clearly marked and delivered to my room before and after the cruise.

Find the fish and chips in the lido deck - its up a level - seating is usually better especially the first couple days. The Winston room is hard to find on deck 4 - but an out of the way barely used location.

Consider booking shore excursions.. 'IN ADVANCE'... that way you dont have to stand in long lines at the desk to book these. Only to find out they are booked up...and you have limited selection left to choose from.

While in Cozumel, I recommend Wet Wendy's for margaritas and Coconuts Bar & Grill for great times with fellow cruisers.

If you are looking for an awesome lunch on Cozumel, try Rolandi's. The food is awesome as is the atmosphere.

Embarkation and disembarkation in San Juan is a nightmare. Expect hours in line getting on and off the ship, even for VIP guests. Serenity is a good escape on this ship assuming the recorded music isn't too loud from the pool area.

Don't expect anything extra from staff. All about money
