It's a shame that this needs to be addressed, but carnival should have a dress policy. While we were embarking (getting onto the ship in New Orleans) there was a woman waiting to embark in a thong. I think someone must have addressed it as later in the process, she had a sweatshirt tied around her waist. This really isn't a carnival issue but a social etiquette and class issue.
Also, tip tip tip. These workers were put through a lot of grief cleaning after entitled kids throwing ice cream cones down the stairwells. Again, I'm not faulting or docking stars against carnival. This isn't a carnival issue but a social issue.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Relatively smooth. No real issues besides forgetting to check out luggage so ended up having to carry it on ourselves. Which was no big deal since it was only a trip for me and my husband.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
I only gave it a 4 stars because the deli never had less than a 45 minute wait to get a sandwich. It's one of my favorite places to grab lunch and it didn't open until 3 (most days) and it's line went on forever.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
The activities were what was expected. Shows and games were great! I knew we weren't going to have the "splash pad" area or the fitness machines next to the track which are two luxuries my family is use to. But again, we knew this when booking.

Great
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our room steward and 2 waiters were excellent. They went above and beyond. (Chantal, room steward, Chester and Dalvorinia(sp?))
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Workers went above and beyond cleaning up after some very rowdy and misbehaving children. (Senior trip)
Cabin / Stateroom

Slept like a baby!
Ship tip
If you want to eat at the deli, plan your day around it's operating hours so you can get there before they open.
Blue Holes, (cenotes) and lunch excursion. The cenotes were beautiful. Priscilla was very informative and even helped people get those picture perfect memories on camera. Can't say enough about Priscilla.
