Review summary

It was an okay cruise. Kinda lacked the wow factor but wouldn’t stop me from going on another cruise.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Carnival Staff always friendly. Available to answer questions and put your mind at ease as your boarding

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
It was just okay. Food was kinda bland. Even Guy’s Burgers lack the wow factor this time. Deli and Pizza lines were very long. It was okay but really lacked the wow factor that I had on Carnival Magic before the pandemic,

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Pools were busy. Lots of kids and School groups on this cruise kept the ship very busy.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We did the Country show one night, it was okay. The bands in the center atrium and Red Frog were very good

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Our dinner steward Victor was great and really went above and beyond. Our room Steward did a good job. No complaints. Seemed a little under staffed or short staff but kinda expected that after COVID.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
No complaints. Valor is beginning to become a little dated after other newer ships and it shows

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
About what I expected. Perfect size. Didn’t feel claustrophobic. You did feel the movement of the ship but liked how close we were to dining.

Ship tip

Avoid going around Graduation time or just as school is ending. Kids were out of control. Someone’s sign and sail card was stolen and used at the arcade. Ice cream cones dropped over the atrium rails down to bottom floors and a few people got hit. Kids without parental guidance the main issue.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Did it by Muster station and if you have a higher letter be prepared to wait. Took about an hour and a half to disembark.

Appreciate your feedback. We try to avoid cruising when school is out! Glad you enjoyed your cruise in spite of the children.
