This was a birthday celebration cruise for me and it was my favorite cruise! I can’t wait to get on this ship again next August.

Embarkation was so fast and easy with all the Covid-19 guidelines and protocol. I was super impressed. It was a seamless process and the New Orleans staff were so nice and accommodating.

I enjoyed dining in the Washington and Lincoln dining rooms. The entertainment and staff were always on point and eager to please. I love the Sea day brunches and the opportunity to sit down and meet and chat with interesting people from around the country. I never get a chance to eat at all the restaurants because there’s so much to choose from. I ordered room service once, Guy’s burgers is a must and I love a good Cuban from the deli. If you are pressed for time, the Lido Buffet is always the best choice with lots of variety and a scrumptious omelet station. Carnival gives me an opportunity to splurge while on vacation.
Onboard Activities

I didn’t take advantage of the pool but it’s always fun to sit around it on the Lido deck and drink, people watch, listen to music and take advantage of a free movie. I always say I need to workout and exercise more but I seem to run out of time. Carnival has it available if you make time for it.
Entertainment

Most of the time I cruise I take advantage of the spa deck and come to be pampered. On this cruise I really took advantage of the comedy shows and night club which was just awesome. I loved listening to live music and watching shows in the Ivanhoe theater. I enjoyed the casino and drinks in there as well. This ship was so much fun and I felt like I had got my groove back. I’m not sure if the art auction is entertainment but I love going to these on all Carnival cruises. I drink the champagne and get my free piece of art. They drew my number on this one and I won a Cozumel T-Shirt.
Service and Staff

Everyone was so nice and I always love it when my cabin steward knows my name after the first meeting. He brought us extra blankets the first night and extra towels daily. I always love the towel dolls. Guest Services, waiters and the entire staff were very accommodating and just makes me want to come back for more.
Ship Quality

I loved how clean this ship was as well as the design. It was not too big and very easy for me to maneuver and get around. Our cabin was on the Lido deck and I normally book a balcony but this ship made me appreciate an interior cabin. I found out you can turn to channel 33 on the television and determine if it’s night or day. I normally book forward and I was amazed at how comfortable we were.
Cabin / Stateroom

It was very nice and just the right amount of space for us. I loved that it had the USB ports and very good lighting.
This port was just okay to me and maybe I need to give it another chance but I was not really impressed. The shopping area seemed small and we locally bought a beach excursion that was subpar and we used taxi cabs to get to it. I am still chuckling when I purchased souvenirs I was asked after the purchase, “Where’s my tip?” I guess you tip after you make a purchase. 🥴😂
I actually tipped once after. That’s never happened anywhere else before.
This is one of my favorite ports. I’m amazed at Cozumel every time I visit. We normally book a Carnival excursion and we like the Nachi Cocom beach which is all inclusive right next to Mr. Sanchos. This year it was my first time doing the taxis to shop and another taxi to Paradise Beach and I loved it. I’m a shopaholic and I love the Mexican silver, tanzanite, fire opals, vanilla, rum cakes and coffee. Omg, the tequila tasting and great food!
I had a fabulous time and will for sure do Paradise Beach again.
We flew in and really loved the airport transportation provided by Carnival. The coaches were so spacious and comfortable. People in New Orleans were so nice and hospitable.
Thank you for telling us about the beaches. I read the excursion reviews on the Carnival site and some people have such bad experiences, I talk myself out of booking.
