Review summary

My first cruise. I had an enjoyable time. Nice ship, excellent staff. Only complaints were that the tea wasn't good, water was only good in the main dining room, and that cheese wasn't offered on the baked potatoes -- so I'd say it was a nice vacation! Great way to do a family vacation and still have some adult time. Next time I'd prefer to go with a larger group of people.

No issues. Boarding delays were equivalent to those at an airport.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

I only ate in the main dining and Lido deck. Both were good. Only complains were the included drinks -- tea was something that looked like flat coca cola and can't tell you what it tasted like, but it didn't taste like tea. Water in the main dining room was good, but water at the Lido buffet area was not good.

7 and 8 year old seemed to enjoy Camp Ocean in the evenings but got bored during at sea days. They preferred the slide and pool.

Cabin / Stateroom

This was my first cruise so I can't provide any comparative rating. Bed was comfy and the temperature was plenty cool. Only complaint was at times the toilet wouldn't flush. Usually 30 min later or so it would. Once it would not for several hours and we called room service. Within just a couple of minutes they did something that caused it to automatically flush and it returned to working.

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

Booked a snorkeling trip through CozumelCruiseExcursions.net -- wonderful! 7 and 8 year old loved it!

Progreso (Merida), Mexico

5 out of 5
Progreso is more of an authentic Mexican town vs a cruise port city like Cozumel. If you are willing to embrace the Mexican culture, you will love it! We booked a cenotes excursion through an AutoProgreso booth located at the pier and had a great time.
