Review summary

My husband and I have cruised many times before but we shose this ship for our kids first cruise. We had a day of sea sickness (tends to happen when 3 hurricanes in sea) and had a water leak in our room. The staff of Carnival Valor made sure that my family was taken care of. They went above and beyond! the cruise director Frankie was amazing! Our room steward became part of our family for the week. Love her! Yuli was great.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
They were good. We really really enjoyed the BBQ place. We took our two small kids on this ship with us and there were not a whole lot of options for the kids. We found ourselves at the BBQ place more often because there was mac-n-cheese.

Entertainment

Evening shows were a little much. The singers were sometimes way off key and sometimes you could barely hear them.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

Its Galveston. Murky water and had a weird smell. My kids loved it though. So overall it was a plus!

Easy. Off the ship in less than 30 min. and that is including US customs.
