Review summary

Enjoyed this cruise on Carnival Valor. First time on this ship and it is nice. The decor was very interesting being it reflected American history. This was my eighth cruise but first to Progresso and the Yucatan Peninsula. We learned a lot about the physical area of the Yucatan and the tour we took of the Mayan ruins was wonderful. The food was great at the resort we ended our cruise excursion and the beach was beautiful.  The ship was nice but I can tell Carnival has drastically cut their staff, but those staff there are very hard workers.

We were right below the kitchen area and could hear carts being pushed early in the morning. Would not get this cabin if a light sleeper. Ear plugs helped but did not eliminate.

Ship tip

Enjoy your cruise and if you want to complain about something do it at Customer Service, and not to the overworked staff.
