Room Service - Excellent

Our sail date was set to sail on Monday 1/23 but got delayed till Tuesday 1/24. This was a added expense along with trying to find a hotel with avaliabilty. From the beginning the ride was rough with motion sickness settling in on day one. In fact all motion sickness pills, drops and wrist bands were sold out on the ship. A core group of us ( 10 ) were meeting with 240 other passengers as part of a Christian Gathering . On day 2 flu symptoms began settling in on 8 of our core group along with many others that we came across. There were times that it smelled as if the room has just been painted with a strong odor. This was our second time cruising with Carnival and was not a great experience especially when a group of us are spending a majority of our trip in our rooms with sickness. Now that we have arrived back home with a trip to the doctor, the diagnosis have returned as the flu. Carnival has to do a better job on Sanitizing their ships to give the customers satisfaction.

Rooms are a bit small but doable. Room attendant was friendly and very professional. It amazes me on how they memorize guest names.

Ship tip

Have a backup plan for housing in case ship is delayed. Bring plenty of medicine in case of sickness arises.

We always take a large can of Lysol spray. First thing we do is spray entire cabin before unpacking

not to sound tacky, but how do you know for a fact that it was carnivals fault you and your buddy's got the flu? y'all could have attracted it before sailing. and never leave home I n a cruise without the suggested motion sickness preventions.

Influenza incubation period is 1-4 days so most likely not got aboard ship.

Wow! I'm not sure this was a fair review. Starting with the ship being delayed due to weather for which Carnival has no control over. Being in the medical field all we hear is wash, wash, wash those hands continuously to cut down on passing germs. I never touch anything in the restroom on the way out without a paper towel. I wash my hands going in and coming out. I'm really sorry that your group was not able to enjoy the cruise.

rough seas and people bringing viruses on board can't be controlled by Carnival. sorry your experience was not the best but a ship can not be sterilized 100% all day everyday. it only takes one person walking around with the virus to immediately create a contaminated surface everywhere they go.

my thoughts exactly! you can come in contact with the flu many different ways. you can't just assume it's due to the ship not being cleaned properly.

We were on the Valor in September and had a wonderful time. No problem with the ship or any portion of the trip. Maybe some in your group or other people you came in contact with had the flu before they got on the ship and lied on the health questionnaire because they were afraid they would not be able to go on the cruise. Sorry for your inconvenience but you can't put the blame all on Carnival

sorry about you trip, Carnival is consistently cleaning the ship, maybe you got it from the hotel or restaurant before the cruise
