Review summary

Months after booking, Carnival switched boats from the Valor to the Liberty.  This boat was certainly dated and showed it's age. The food was subpar compared to other cruises I have been on and it lacked a general feeling of fun. I missed waiters singing and having fun in the nightly dining. Service was average except for evening dining. We had a great waiter, Roberto.

Embarkation was very slow because something was technically down.  Kids Seuss breakfast was an extra charge, although the food was similar to the buffet dining.

Freeport looked like a poor area to visit, we didn't go off boat that day and are glad we did. I heard several people complaining about it.

Overall, skip the Liberty.
