Review summary
A few things to know for new cruisers. In no particular order.
1. Take the time to get to know your ship, I can't count how my times I got lost (and frustrated) looking for the Lincoln/Washington (dinner) rooms, fun shops, food and coffee spots, the casino etc.
2. I highly recommend choosing a balcony for your first room. You will not be disappointed in the sights (sun rise and sun setting) and sounds (the ocean) coming from your personal balcony. The docking in Nassau was awesome from the balcony.
3. Make sure you tip the staff, they work hard in making your experience unforgettable.
4. The nightly party, on Deck 9 is a must see at least once. The cruise director Lee is awesome at his job. Keep in mind the ship becomes more of a night club party scene after the sun goes down.
5. Keep in mind the ship is big and you will be doing a lot of walking. Comfortable shoes will be needed.
6. The food is good, the drinks are strong and beware of the add on's in the spa.
7. Have patience, getting off and on the boat was unexpected. LONG lines and wait times.
8. For those wanting to look nice for the Scarlett's steakhouse or the evening dinners, the ship has dry cleaning and pressing services at a reasonable price.
9. Internet access is expensive so if you can't do without social media plan accordingly.
10. I (we) did the resort for the day excursion at the BC Hilton and it was worth the money, BUT while the sun was warm and the sand cool, the ocean is cold in the winter months.
