Review summary

Departure postponed due to medical emergency, totally understood. Once at terminal, long lines which didn't move for 2 hours, no information given, no food available once aboard at ten pm, dining room had been open earlier for priority passengers, Lido closing down as we got on board, minimal to no choices, immediate safety drill, no food available afterward other than pizza or grill, terribly long lines, luggage not provided til 2 am, very noisy at that time.

We were on that cruise and had no issues whatsoever. We board extremely fast only took the time to do the paperwork, went straight to our rooms dropped off our carrying on bags and hit the dinning room for a wonderful meal. The staff was excellent as was the food. We were sad about missing the one port cause we had not been there before, but the cave tubing we did in Belize was great.See ya in 17!

What I don't get is why this is such an enormous deal! On that cruise I saw a rescue squad come 3 times for different people. It's not magnificent that one of them didn't make it. I'm just saying that it's totally possible and that you should monitor your own health before cruising. Sorry if this offends anyone but it is the cold hard truth.

I don't really think that anyone should have really been "accommodated" because another person died! What kind of a hole do you have to be to benefit from someone passing away?

I was within that frustrating moment and it was hectic. You may have missed the chips and water that they passed through but they should have had more options once we got on board. Hope you in joyed the rest of the cruise like I did!

if this was one on Apr 2 the ship was late getting into port because they turned ship around to try to save someone. the person died. no fault of valor. We ordered room service and luggage beat us to the room. carnival gave port fee back that was cancelled, 25 dollars once and 20 percent off future cruise. We were tired but appreciated carnival doing everything for that person

When was this. What could have been so bad in port that you couldnt get on board till 10pm?

It's unfortunate that their was a medical emergency which is not the Carnivals fault but they should of had more options because of the late boarding with that said after 9:30/10 on a normal cruise all that is usually available is pizza and room service.
