Review summary

We started out on a bus that broke down two times and never a word from the driver.  The second time we were outside the fence where the cruise ships were docked and still no word from the driver, we were getting sick from the fumes and had to go outside, we waited about an hour or so for another bus. The ship and the crew was good.  We were late at every port.  we had issues with dinner in the Washington room, I booked and paid for the cruise for myself, husband, sister and brother-in-law and we wanted to be seated together  and we were given such a hard time it was unbelievable.  We also so had someone sick on the cruise for a few days and then on our way back to Port Canaveral we were re-routed back to Turks & Caicos and the gentleman passed away.  Because of it we missed half of my nephew's wedding because we didn't dock until 5:30 which was chaos getting off of the ship.  Also, when my family called about us being late the they were told we would be docking on time at 7:30 am, not only did they call once, but 3 times and told the same thing each time.

Yes I was on that cruise! And trust me it wasn't because I parked 10 feet from the boat, then when we returned we had to get on large greyhound type buses and got bused to the other side... And it wasn't dark when we got back, when I got off the ship and in our car by 7:27 p.m. the sun was just starting to fade... perhaps you got off after us, we had priority debarking.

Were you on the Valor, March 26-apr 2?? I'll go look at your pic, but looked like the same place. But it was dark too, and we used Uber so we didn't have to find our car.

We did not get off in the same place we got on, we drove to Port Canaveral and walk 20 feet to our boat, then we disembarked, we had to be bused to the other side. I have added a picture on my profile under this cruise, please look.

I don't know about being bused to cars, we got off same area we got on at. Then took an Uber to a hotel. It's just a shame what ever happen. We will never know the truth. I just said prayers for whatever it was. All I could do. I don't worry about what I can't control

Ltwalker166, I wasn't talking about the dock at Grand Turk, I am talking about Port Canaveral...(remember getting bused to our cars?) Also, I heard that crap about windy my butt... have you ever seen what the coast guard does to say lives? Here is a link to a video as a reminder (btw, if I had a stroke and they didn't airlift me to help I would loose my mind, people have either two kinds of stoke: hemorrhagic or ischemic, one needs immediate surgery, the other needs medication within 3-4 hours.....neither where done if we turned around to go back over 5 hours) I call malarkey on the whole thing!ƒ‚‚ https://youtu.be/jh3EVSBIi5U

Rumors- we'll never know the truth. But we docked at the same dock back at Turks, bc there was only one dock there and I had the same view that morning as I did the night b4. Plus if you recall this was an extremely windy trip, getting a helicopter to remove someone would have been extremely dangerous.

How did hear about this man passing away? We've heard several stories, from stroke in the Casino, a murder on the ship (seriously, most airport drivers heard that from the port people) and now you say someone was sick for a couple of days then passed... could you share what you know, it's driving my husband and I crazy... we couldn't understand if it were a stoke why he wasn't air lifted instead of sailing 5 hours back to a port.... NOT TO MENTION, we docked at a different dock, with police, fire trucks and an ambulance waiting, and US Customs taking 2 hours to clear us....something was definitely wrong, and it would be nice if there was ONE article about it, but just people talking in chats....

I was also on this ship, don't think we were late to every port seeing as I was laying on the beach at Turks 15 min "before" we were to even dock. Plus it was extremely windy, I think that had lots to do with our arrivals. I also had my plans with my sister halted bc of this situation. But I can't fault this poor person bc it put me out ☹. He's out his life

Sorry if I hurt any feelings, I was just stating how it affected the next cruise. I agree that you could have given more thought but I have felt the anger of it and can understand.

That poor family lost a soul and all you care about is yourself?? Shame shame shame! What's wrong with people today?? I feel bad for the family of the man who had a stroke and lost his life. That family must be devastated!

You should have never booked a cruise so close to the wedding. A million things can go wrong and when one thing is off timing wise, it will most definitely mess everything else up. People need to realize that you need to be flexible when cruising and not be dependent on time. You can't control certain issues and if that passenger did pass away, you have absolutely NO RIGHT to complain at anything

I was on the cruise after this one and I will have to say if that's how all cruises started 50% of people who currently cruise would not cruise at all. We had a long drawn out safety briefing that went on PAST MIDNIGHT! We left at 1:30am. Not to name names but I think the cruises would have ended and started better if it had not been for the cruise director, she at least didn't help with showtimes

The marriage should be more important than the wedding.

I hate to say what I am sure will be on most people's minds....give your head a shake. The poor guy died and it was not the ship's fault. This is not only part of travel, but good gosh you missed only part of the wedding!! You should consider yourself very fortunate that you could go on a cruise, woke up everyday and still got home safely!! Sorry to be so blunt, but get over yourself!
