Best cruise ever!

Sail Date: March 05, 2016

Reviewed: 8 months ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

This was our 4th cruise and we had a blast!  The crew was magnificent.  Attentive, friendly, effective.  Even though the ship is about to go in for it's 2.0 upgrade, nothing was in disrepair, nothing was dirty, nothing was dingy.  The crew maintained the ship 24 hours a day, and do a great job.

The food was wonderful and plentiful.  We strongly recommend the Chef's Table.  We absolutely loved it.

We went for a balcony cabin and never regretted it for a second.  The view was magnificent and the ability to stand (or sit) outside, all alone on the huge ship, enjoying each other's company in private was worth any premium we paid.

We will cruise again and Carnival is our choice!Happy

Cabin / Stateroom
Very spacious and comfortable. Left side of the bed could be a few inches farther from the wall. Desk area could use a few shelves to hold smaller items, keeping counter clear. Bathroom is tiny but has plenty of counter space for my wife's stuff.
Embarkation and Disembarkation
Get the Faster to the Fun package. You won't regret it!!
Ship Quality
Spotless and fully functional! My only suggestion is to have arrows on the walls or floors every once in a while showing fore and aft! Got turned around a few times. OK, every time!!
Destinations and Excursions
Cozumel was nice but the contrast between neighborhoods and tourist areas was a little depressing.
Belize seemed just a little dangerous. We didn't have an excursion planned and were told not to leave the terminal complex, for our safety. Sad.
Roatan was awesome! Probably because of the excursion we selected (Maya Key private island). Had a blast.
Weather prevented us from docking in Costa Maya and I lost my chance to buy top notch, local tequila. Probably for the best!!
Onboard Activities
Too many trivia contests. Mix it up a bit!!
Children's Programs no kids, don't have an opinion
Entertainment
Service and Staff
Our Cabin Stewardess, Ana, was wonderful. Couldn't have asked for better. The dining room crew was wonderful, too. Every employee we met greeted us with warmth and friendliness, while doing their jobs cheerfully and effectively.
Food and Dining
Delicious, and plentiful, whether fancy or not, meal time or wee hours.
Port Canaveral, Florida
the cruise port signage isn't very clear. Leave plenty of time to get around.
Cozumel, Mexico
Belize City, Belize
Book an excursion or you'll be stuck in the terminal (not bad, just stuck)
Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras
Maya Key was awesome. Snorkeling, animals, food, beach. Add some kayaks and it would be perfect.
Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico
didn't get to go due to weather

Tip

More activities aft. Choose your cabin accordingly.
