Review summary

This was our 4th cruise and we had a blast!  The crew was magnificent.  Attentive, friendly, effective.  Even though the ship is about to go in for it's 2.0 upgrade, nothing was in disrepair, nothing was dirty, nothing was dingy.  The crew maintained the ship 24 hours a day, and do a great job.

The food was wonderful and plentiful.  We strongly recommend the Chef's Table.  We absolutely loved it.

We went for a balcony cabin and never regretted it for a second.  The view was magnificent and the ability to stand (or sit) outside, all alone on the huge ship, enjoying each other's company in private was worth any premium we paid.

We will cruise again and Carnival is our choice!

Service and Staff

Our Cabin Stewardess, Ana, was wonderful. Couldn't have asked for better. The dining room crew was wonderful, too. Every employee we met greeted us with warmth and friendliness, while doing their jobs cheerfully and effectively.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Spotless and fully functional! My only suggestion is to have arrows on the walls or floors every once in a while showing fore and aft! Got turned around a few times. OK, every time!!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very spacious and comfortable. Left side of the bed could be a few inches farther from the wall. Desk area could use a few shelves to hold smaller items, keeping counter clear. Bathroom is tiny but has plenty of counter space for my wife's stuff.

Ship tip

More activities aft. Choose your cabin accordingly.

the cruise port signage isn't very clear. Leave plenty of time to get around.

Book an excursion or you'll be stuck in the terminal (not bad, just stuck)

Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

Maya Key was awesome. Snorkeling, animals, food, beach. Add some kayaks and it would be perfect.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

didn't get to go due to weather

Believe Chef's Table was $75 per person when we went in January.

Does it cost extra for the Chefs table? Do you make reservations before you get on the ship?

On same cruise and had balcony, I agree completely with the cleanliness and food and staff. What about that pizza and soft serve?
